Naturist beaches in Vendée: the 5 best beaches for practising naturism by the sea

1. Naturist beach at La Faute-sur-Mer

In L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer in the south of the Vendée, head towards the bird sanctuary and Pointe d'Arcay and walk for about half an hour. Renowned for being very pleasant, the naturist beach at La Faute-sur-Mer is tolerated by municipal decree. Swimming is safe there. Bonus: on a clear day, the naturist beach at La Faute-sur-Mer offers a beautiful view of the Île de Ré.

2. Noiremoutiers Island naturist beach - Luzeronde

Noiremoutiers - Luzeronde beach is not strictly speaking a naturist beach, but naturism is tolerated on the southern part of the beach. It is located between La Bosse beach and Luzeronde and can be accessed from the north of the Pointe du Devin car park to the north of the spine. Another access point is available via L'Erbaudière.

3. Les Lays naturist beach at La Barre de Mont

To access Les Lays naturist beach, look for the area marked by signs between the Chemin Rural de la Parée-Creuse and the car park. This naturist beach is tolerated by municipal decree. Please note that the beach is not very well signposted, so take care.

4. Les Salins naturist beach in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez

Les Salins naturist beach in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez has been authorised by the local council since 6 July 1993. It can be accessed by walking along the textile beach known as Les Becs. Dunes and pine trees border the beach, making it a very pleasant place for naturist relaxation.

5. Olonne-sur-Mer naturist beach in Sauveterre

The naturist beach at Olonne-sur-Mer is officially located between the textile beach at Sauveterre and the beach at Les Granges (approximately 3 km). The beach is located near Les Sables d'Olonne at a place called Les Pierres Noires. This naturist beach is also accessible by bicycle.
