Naturism, a modern movement

Previously considered a 'social curiosity,' naturism is now strongly settled at the core of a deep social trend encouraging the same values as those sought out by today’s society. It gives answers to new expectations such as personal development within a collective and friendly atmosphere.

Naturism is mostly a family-oriented movement where all generations (children, parents and grandparents) are reunited.

Another noticeable fact in the unique character of naturism is the will to integrate Man while protecting Nature. Indeed, it is the biggest open-air movement in France. In villages, natural areas are put forward, palces are never overcrowded and sometimes stretches over 350 hectares, a perfect way to get closer to Nature. Some sites are listed as 'natural bird sanctuaries.'

Giving the body back its original place, discovering the joy of living in harmony with Nature… such is the truth of naturism. As a real life philosophy, it advocates tolerance, self-esteem, and respect for others and for the environment.

The three main forms of practice are combined:
- Beach naturism when nudity is synonymous with sunshine and bathing
- Holiday naturism when nudity is associated with holiday and leisure periods
